Do you run a business or thinking about starting a business?

This meetup event is for entrepreneurs of all stages. Whether you have been in it for a while or whether you are just starting out in your journey, you're invited to join me and other people of like mind for a coffee and chat! Share some experiences, tips and encouragement with fellow entrepreneurs

What to expect. Can't get any more casual than meeting at McDonalds! Grab a coffee and/or some food, bring a few business cards and an open mind. You'll never know what comes up in discussion. There won't be name tags or standing up to present, it's very, very casual and a great environment for true networking.

Don't worry if you're running late, or need to leave early. We all need to run a business and live life. I'll be at the cafe at the allocated time, but you're welcome to come and leave as you please. Even if you only have 30 minutes it will be great to hear your story.

I'll be sitting at one of the tables near the entrance. Check out the video below to know what I look like before you come so you know who to approach! I'll make sure where I'm sitting, is visible when you come in. Make sure you check out the map and get to the correct McDonalds!

Frequently asked questions

Why did you start the Coffee with Arthur events?

In June 2022 I was at the local cafe, tapping away on my laptop working on a document of some sort. I thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be nice to meet some business people, and to have some time with people of like mind?" So I put my first event up and pressed "PUBLISH" and here we are!

How many people attend each event?

I have these events listed on Eventbrite and Meetup, and I can never tell, how many people will turn up. I also don't keep stats. The best thing to consider is, if you want to join me and others for a coffee and a chat then come.

Why don't you take photos at your events?

I don't take group photos. This is a decision to respect everyone's privacy. You are welcome to take photos with individuals or even myself if you like, just no group photos.

Can I expect to get a lot of leads or business collaboration?

This event is more for business people to connect and have a bit of time out. If you get leads or business collaborations (and it does happen at times) that is a bonus!

Am I expected to come everytime?

No. Some people come more often, some people come once every six months. Some people come once and decide it's not for them. Just come when it suits you.

Do I need to RSVP to come?

It's better to RSVP even if you're not entirely sure you can make it, this is so I can send you a message if there are last minute cancellations like illness, venue issues, or broken down car etc. Also, Don't be embarrassed if you RSVP and can't make it! There's always a next time.

Hold on! What's the catch?

I've been running these events since June 2022 and have never charged for the events. It doesn't cost me much to keep the events going. It's something I love to attend myself, so for me, it's a bit of time out, a chance to meet a few people and my little way of giving back to the business community.

Why McDonald's?

I rotate between some cafes and McDonald's. McDonald's are generally easy to find, have plenty of parking and seats! I also like how casual it is!
