The Rich History of Emotional Intelligence

The voyage of intelligence was filled with great personalities and their extraordinary achievements along the way. Among them, Abraham Maslows Hierarchy of Needs where he outlined that the understanding of emotions can lead to self actualization and Daniel Golemans Emotional Intelligence Theory – this session will explore the key milestones of developing EI globally.


Defining Emotional Intelligence

We will discuss different definitions of emotional intelligence (and their upsides and downsides), then we will go the extra mile by creating our very own definition. After this session, you will have a firm grasp on what is emotional intelligence and how to understand it!


The Blueprint for EI

This is the stage at which you will learn to become your own expert – developing an understanding of what different emotions mean, checking out your own reactions to detect subtle differences in their nuances, and learning to communicate consciously to gain in confidence and expression. By offering you techniques to manage moods, I hope also to help you to express yourself more accurately, empathetically, and in tune with others.Beata Karlsson is a practising counselling psychologist.


Lets talk about optimism

This session explores how you can be more optimistic, why you might want to, and what the difference is between optimism and pessimism, so that you can start to include it in your daily routine.


Understanding and validating others emotions

Today’s session concerns issues of connection. You will explore ways of being more mindful of others, and learn two approaches to recognising cues. These will assist you in connecting with people around you, and help you discover their inner beliefs.


Exploring the complexity of emotions

Explore the world of emotions as we talk about the seven core emotions that shape our experiences and reactions of the world around you and the feelings you have in response to various experiences. Find out how this emotion affects various areas of your life.


Defining your vision

Go on an exploratory journey where you will be enabled and supported to gain insight into who you are at your core, your treasured values, aspects of your signature strengths that you are relying upon and have likely also been overusing, your untapped strengths, as well as barriers or relationships that are challenging –and more.


Wrapping up the workshop

At the end of this course, each of us will have an opportunity to ask questions and create a plan for implementing our newfound knowledge in our lives.
