About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes

Join the School of Humanities and Languages at a Modern Greek language workshop on Friday 23 May. Be part of a reflective presentation and at the same time, a discussion of an assessment practice that has been implemented in Modern Greek 1.

This assessment practice is about familiarising beginner level students with the history, culture and meaning-making inherent to the Greek language. It has taken place through their participation in putting together and taking part in the launch of a community art exhibition on internationally acclaimed writer Nikos Kazantzakis.

The workshop is specifically structured so as to invite Modern Greek, Ancient History and community language teachers to take it as part of their professional development activities. Attendance to the workshop will contribute three hours of Professional Development towards maintaining Proficient Teacher accreditation in NSW.
