Escape Hatch Books is all about bringing people together through books. We know that half the fun of reading the book is discussing it with fellow readers afterwards, preferably with a drink.
Our Book Clubs are great opportunity to boost reading and meet new people, with a commitment of just three or four months depending on the time of the year.
Each club meets in store at 7pm or 2pm for an hour of conversation, drinks & nibbles. We have three groups for book club which take part on their respective nights / afternoons: First Tuesday, First Wednesday and First Thursday.
Each Book Club membership costs $160 paid in advance and includes:
4 x newly released novels
4 x in-store meetings with drinks & nibbles
Group 1 – First Tuesday Evening @ 7pm
Tuesday 4th February | 4th March | 1st April | 6th May
Group 2 – First Wednesday Evening @ 7pm
Wednesday 5th February | 5th March | 2nd April | 7th May
Group 3 – First Thursday Afternoon @ 2pm
Tuesday 6th February | 6th March | 3rd April | 7th May
The first book selection is "Playground" by Richard Powers and will be available to collect in-store from 3rd December.
Book clubbers will receive their 2nd book at the March meeting, the 3rd book at the April meeting and the 4th book at the May meeting
There are 3 opportunites to join book clubs during the year.
