About this event

Encapsulating the NSW Legislative Council's Bicentenary theme of, ‘Reflect, Celebrate, Imagine’, this expansive exhibition charts the Council's evolution over 200 years – from humble origins through to the robust and representative Upper House that it is today.

You'll learn about key moments, people, traditions and untold stories through dynamic displays and fascinating artefacts. View reflections on the Council's relationship with First Nations peoples and efforts toward greater diversity and representation.

Catering to a range of ages and levels of parliamentary knowledge, the exhibition offers fresh insights into Australia's oldest legislature.

See the free exhibition at NSW Parliament House on weekdays, 9am to 5pm, until 24 January 2025 (excluding Christmas shutdown period from 23 December - 6 January).

Access is to the left of the building via the security gatehouse. We recommend allowing around 90 minutes for your visit.
