Coastal Claymakers are pleased to present 2 x two day workshop with glaze expert Trisha Dean exploring a broad range of options in the development of surface coatings/glazes at midrange temperatures. With a practical focus, you will formulate, make and fire a range of glazes of your own choice. Topics covered will include glaze testing methodologies, functionality, colour development, claybody options and firing cycles. You will learn how to analyse your test results so they can be used for future glaze development.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a Coastal Claymakers members workshop. New members are always welcome and you will find a link to join on our Coastal Claymakers website.
The workshop will be run twice over two consecutive weekends as places are limited to 12 people per workshop. You can choose to enrol in the Saturday workshop (26 July + 2 August) OR the Sunday workshop (27 July +3 August). This will enable time for firing tests and time to analyse the outcomes.
Workshop 1: Saturday 26 July & Saturday 2 August from 10am - 4pm OR
Workshop 2: Sunday 27 July & Sunday 3 August from 10am - 4pm
Location of workshop will be in the brand new, purpose built TAFE ceramic facilities at CHEC (Coffs Harbour Education Campus) on Hogbin Drive.
