About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

This event is brought to you by Business Tasmania in partnership with the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Where is your business financially strong—and where is it vulnerable?

In this session, part of Business Tasmania’s Cost of Doing Business Series, we’ll introduce the concept of a Financial SWOT Analysis: a simple but powerful tool for assessing your Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats when it comes to your business’s financial health.

This session will be presented by Mikala Grosse from the TCCI, with special guest Stephen Hansen from Rural Business Tasmania.

This practical session will cover:

  • How to conduct a financial SWOT (even if you’re not a “numbers person”)
  • Common strengths and weaknesses in small business finances
  • Opportunities to improve revenue, cash flow and resilience
  • Threats to watch for before they become serious problems

You’ll come away with new insights into your own business position—and a clear idea of what to explore further through services like the Tasmanian Business Advice Service.

This is an online event. You will be emailed a link to join via Microsoft Teams once you have registered via Eventbrite.

Please note this event will be recorded to enable more businesses to view the presentation and learn from what is covered. The recording will be saved on Business Tasmania’s YouTube channel and may be shared in Business Tasmania’s newsletter, Facebook page and website. If you do not wish to join the event because it is recorded, you will be able to access the presentation the following week on YouTube.
