F irst Aid for Babies and Children

$ 65 per person or

$ 90 family ticket (two people from the same family only)*
*The family ticket will show as a $45 ticket, but will automatically add two tickets to your order, this is so we can collect names and email addresses for each person which is a Red Cross requirement.

Aimed at parents and carers of children. Learn to provide emergency first aid for common child related injuries and illnesses.

Light lunch, tea and coffee provided.

Training includes:

  • Basic life support
  • Performing CPR
  • Breathing emergencies including choking and asthma
  • Severe allergic reaction
  • Shock
  • Infection control
  • Bleeding and wound care
  • Safety considerations around the home

Children are unable to attend training, with the exception of breastfeeding newborns.

Please wear comfortable clothing as CPR demonstrations are performed on the floor.

Note: This is a short course so not all topics are covered in depth.

**Extreme and Catastrophic Fire Danger Ratings

When an Extreme (75+) or Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating is declared for the Mt Lofty Ranges, The Summit Community Centre will be closed, and all classes and programs will be cancelled without notice. Any monies paid will either be reimbursed, or the course will be rescheduled for a later date.
