Join the Fitzroy History Society on 15 November 2024 at 6pm, in the upstairs community room at Bargoonga Nganjin (Fitzroy North Library), 182-186 St Georges Rd, Fitzroy North - for the launch of Fitzroy People 2.
Fitzroy People 2 follows the Society's 2022 publication, Fitzroy People, and focuses on the women and men who lived and worked in Fitzroy and Fitzroy North through the 19th to mid 20th centuries.
For the most part, the book’s subjects are people whose stories have not previously been told. Their lives give us an insight into a past where these suburbs were vastly different to the places we know them as today. With all stories researched and written by members of the Fitzroy History Society.
To help launch this next chapter, Rose Chong and her troupe of actors, will bring to life stories from the book.Light refreshments, including tea and coffee will be served.Please RSVP below by 31 October 2024.
