Welcome to the Focus Group - HRCC event!

Join us on Tues 8 April 2025 at 09:30 AM at the Boundary Room, Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre for an interactive focus group about disability accessibility in the shire of Harvey. This event is a great opportunity for people with lived experience of disability, carers and family members to share thoughts, ideas, and feedback on suggested improvements in the towns of Harvey, Brunswick, Cookernup, and Yarloop.

Get ready to participate in engaging discussions, brainstorming sessions, and opportunities to socialise during the shared lunch which follows the facilitated focus group session.

A limited number of gift vouchers are available from Hope Local on first come basis to pay people with disability for participating in this workshop. Please indicate if you wish to be considered when booking.

The Focus Group will be facilitated by Sara Gunning who is a trainer, facilitator, disability advocate, accessibility consultant and project manager. Through her business Hope Local, Sara works with a wide range of individuals, communities and organisations, helping people achieve better personal and professional outcomes.

Hope Local was established to build strong, resilient, regional communities and provides accessibility consultations, training to organisations supporting people with disability, and self-advocacy training to those living with disability in the community.

Drawing on her marketing and business background, Sara combines strong communication and organisational skills and is committed to delivering a professional, accessible and empathic service to everyone she works with.
