After the release of their self-explanatory Melbourne Straight Edge promo in mid-2023, alongside numerous memorable shows including support spots for heavyweight names like Sunami, Terror, Kublai Khan, Speed and Day of Contempt, Forewarned are ready to make their next move with the release of their debut full-length release Only God Forgives.
Forewarned’s LP expands on the foundation their demo laid; furious, high-intensity hardcore with a metallic edge comparable to Ringworm, Integrity, and fellow old school Australians Mindsnare. As well as deeper straight edge cuts like Excessive Force and their company in the Life Sentence Records roster, also early Victory Records era metallic hardcore. This expansion sees the band go faster, more melodic, more hard hitting; an overall fuller picture of what they set out to achieve. Only God Forgives is set to cement Forewarned as one of Australia’s most exciting current acts, and there’s no slowing down in sight any time soon.
