About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

It’s no secret… motherhood is life changing. Bringing a new life into the world is filled with so much joy, and yet so many questions!

Mater’s Fourth Trimester Essentials is a six week program, designed to help you navigate this new life with your baby – everything from breastfeeding, sleep, development and play ideas, to postpartum recovery, maternal nutrition and mental wellbeing.

Whether it’s your first baby, or you’ve been here before, every baby and every body is different.

Each week, Mater’s expert team will explore a new topic, delivering the latest research and evidence-based advice, in a relaxed, interactive environment. You’ll have the opportunity to ask all your burning questions, get tailored advice and support, and of course connect with other mums and babies!

Over six weeks, we’ll arm you with practical tips and support for:

  1. Feeding Your Baby | Tuesday 29 October
  2. Postpartum recovery and exercise | Tuesday 5 November
  3. Healthy Eating Postnatally | Tuesday 12 November
  4. Baby Sleep and Baby Behaviour | Tuesday 19 November
  5. Mental Wellbeing Postnatally | Tuesday 26 November
  6. Baby Play Ideas | Tuesday 3 December

We can’t wait to meet you!

Frequently asked questions

What do I wear?

Wear comfy clothes for you, and spares for baby (always!). We recommend something that’s easy to feed in (especially for week 1). You may wish to wear activewear for week 2.

What do I bring?

We recommend packing a small wrap or play mat (to place over a soft yoga mat) and baby’s favourite toy.

I’ve passed the newborn phase – would this still be relevant for me?

Absolutely – our baby topics are relevant from newborn to pre-crawling. If you’re unsure or think you may benefit from a one-on-one consultation instead, call 3163 3760.

Can I choose which sessions I come to?

This program has been carefully designed as a package, to arm you with all the essentials you need to navigate life with your new baby. While we are unable to offer these as stand-alone sessions, we can provide one-on-one appointments to support your individual needs.

Is there parking on-site?

Yes, there’s plenty of free, pram-friendly parking on-site.
