How can meditation improve your life? Maybe you have tried meditation before but you don't feel any different, or you feel like your meditation isn’t progressing? Would you like to learn a range of meditation techniques that are specifically aimed at boosting positive mental and emotional qualities like kindness, happiness, contentment and joy? You can learn these techniques at our free guided meditation sessions delivered by a Buddhist monk.
Over six weeks of the Nurturing Awareness course, you will learn various meditation techniques that aim to improve the quality of your heart and mind. These include:
Week 1: Nurturing Awareness: Unconditional kindness for others through meditation
Week 2: Self-Nurturing Awareness: Unconditional kindness for yourself through meditation
Week 3: Caring Awareness: Cultivating compassion through meditation
Week 4: Forgiving Awareness: Steps towards offering and receiving forgiveness through meditation
Week 5: Nurturing Awareness Challenges: Generating kindness and acceptance for difficult people through meditation
Week 6: Grateful and Generous Awareness: Cultivating gratitude and unselfishness through meditation
These free sessions are suitable for meditators who want to learn new techniques to expand their practice. It’s not required that you attend each week, so you can drop in on any session. Also, you will have the opportunity to ask an experienced Buddhist monk your own questions about meditation.
