Free Polyphagous Shot-hole Borer (PSHB) Presentation

Date: 25/11/2024

Time: 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Location: Northam Recreation Centre

Join us for an essential information session on the invasive PSHB beetle, recently detected in Western Australia in August 2021. This wood-boring pest poses a serious threat to our trees by introducing a harmful Fusarium fungus, leading to dieback and tree death.

Learn about the beetle's biology, lifecycle, and the potential impacts on local tree species. We'll also cover the signs and symptoms to watch out for, as well as the proactive measures the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is taking to halt its spread. Discover how you can help by reporting suspicious borer activity.

Please arrive at 5.15pm for a 5.30pm start.
