Every Friday, we offer alternating dinners: a seafood feast or a vegetarian menu (where, among other things, you'll learn to make traditional Genovese Pesto with a mortar, just like my grandmothers used to do – Sara).

You are going to prepare and have a true Italian seafood meal:

Antipasto (entrée)

You are going to prepare “Insalata di Polpo” with potatoes, octopus, parsley, garlic, extra virgin oil, salt and pepper.

Primo (main)

You’ll learn to prepare traditional Strascinati handmade pasta, then you’ll cook and learn how to make an amazing seafood pasta sauce.

Dolce (dessert)

Lemon creamy Italian sorbetto.

We’ll cook the pasta and we’ll feast on the octopus salad, the pasta and sorbetto we have prepared.

A glass of Italian wine will be offered to you as Italians do with their friends when they eat together.


All our recipes are hands on, you’ll be working at your private bench space with a maximum of 14 participants to ensure that every one of you will be well looked after and to maximise your learning and help you to master the necessary skills.

Frequently asked questions

Refund.

A full refund is available if you cancel up to 30 days before the booked class or if you prefer you can reschedule the class. Reschedule is not available for cancellations made within 7 days of the class. However, we can offer you to book another class at a special rate of $35.

Reschedule.

If you cancel between 30 days and 7 days before the class, you have the option to reschedule. You can reschedule two times. To do so, please send an email to originsitaliancookingclasses@gmail.com and you must do this at least 7 days before your scheduled class.

Parking.

When you turn into Menora Rd from Wuraga Rd head down approx 300m and on the left side you will see the "Brookhaven Sales Centre"(33 Menora Rd)car park.Park on the right hand side as you enter the car park,cross the foot bridge/or the stone path into Bronzewing Cct. You will find us at number 55.

To be honest, summarizing Italian cuisine in just a few classes is quite challenging; we could easily offer more than a hundred classes and still not cover half of what Italy's culinary tradition encompasses. Nevertheless, we've carefully crafted 12 distinct classes to showcase some of the most famous dishes and unique culinary experiences Italy has to offer.

Our classes range from mastering the art of pasta across two parts, indulging in the ritual of Aperitivo Italiano, exploring the intricacies of Dolci-desserts, to crafting comforting dishes like Gnocchi and Lasagna. We also offer classes focused on Italian Lunch, Tuscan Dinner, the art of Pane-grissini-Taralli (Bread-breadstick-Taralli), and the secrets of Pizza and Focaccia. Additionally, we have a class dedicated to mastering quick and delicious Sughi Express.

We've designed our classes with a perfect blend of learning, enjoyment, and engagement because we believe that learning is most effective in a welcoming and happy environment.
