Golonka are a sensation in today's world music scene. Based in Adelaide, Australia, the five musicians play beautiful gypsy, eastern European, and original music.
With seductive violin, prodigious guitar, smooth clarinet, sonorous accordion and driving double-bass the band have become a favourite live part of the world-music scene.
These are songs and melodies that tell of the stars and the moon, of love and of death, and then can make an audience want to madly dance.
They performed at WOMAD in 2013, toured to Japan in 2016, and have been performing and touring ever since.
Their third album 'Cut out the Day' was released on vinyl in late 2024.
