Girls Come and Try and Shoot Day

Join us for an exciting day of shooting at two ranges! Bendigo Rifle Club (VRA) and Bendigo Pistol Club. There is a short 800m drive in between the ranges. This event is exclusively for girls 12+ who want to experience the thrill of handling a gun in a safe and supportive environment.

Whether you're a complete beginner or have some shooting experience, this event is perfect for you. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the basics of gun handling and safety, ensuring that you feel confident and comfortable throughout the day.

At our Girls Come and Try and Shoot Day, you'll have the opportunity to try out a variety of firearms. You will try a .22 Rifle at the Rifle Range and a .22 Handgun (Pistol) plus a 9mm Handgun at the Bendigo Pistol Club.

* Please note: you will be required to fill in a Notice of Receiving Instruction (NORI) required by Victoria Police before participating
*cannot participate if in the last 5 years you have any of the following:

  • suffered or been treated for psychiatric or psychogical conditions, eg, stress or emotional problems
  • alcohol or drug dependance
  • neurological conditions eg. stroke or head injuries
  • serious impairment of eyesight, or fits, seizures, blackouts or dizziness

    You also must sign a document stating you are not a prohibited person (eg, no criminal record or intervention orders etc).

Do you need a license to attend?

No you don't need a license to attend the Try and Shoot Day. You will be supervised by our qualified Range Officers.
