About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

In celebration of World Soil Day, Northern Rivers chef Shane Runciman from Twisted Tucker has crafted a stunning seasonal menu using 100% locally grown produce.

As you enjoy the dishes, we’ll have a conversation with the farmers themselves, learning about their connection to soils and how it influences the incredible food they grow right here in the Lismore region.

You will also hear from Southern Cross University soil scientist Dr John Grant, who loves soil more than anyone we know. His knowledge and passion will give you a deep understanding of how life under the earth sustains everything above it.

This event is supported by the Lismore Node of the Southern Queensland and Northern NSW Drought Innovation Hub, Southern Cross University, and Twisted Tucket. We are also grateful for support from Lismore City Council, Pyewacket's Traditional, North Coast National and all of our farmer suppliers.
