Less Distraction, More Abstraction - Abstract Art

Access your raw ‘language’ that emerges through colour, texture and personal narrative. Join us this semester to fully immerse yourself in abstract acrylic painting. You’ll find out how to make beautiful colour palettes, how to fill in drawings, how to give an image depth, dimension, and texture, and so much more. Gain confidence, resources, and art-specific expertise you need to hone your aesthetic sensibility and paint works that are both striking and eloquent in acrylic designs in creating a body of work.


Art supplies provided.

Duration: 120 mins

Knowledge level: Beginner-friendly


Each workshop includes:

- Research on recent developments on brain activity that relates to drawing

- New insights on the use of drawing techniques in the corporate world and in education

- Detailed advice on how to apply basic skills of art making to resolve problems

Venue accessibility: accessible entry is via the courtyards of 1888 Building (back of building) and a lift is located next to reception on the ground floor (near the West courtyard entry). There is an all gender accessible bathroom on Level 1.
