Damian Callinan (comedian, actor & writer) is bringing his Hall Stories project to the Williamstown Hall.
The project has several phases, starting with the distribution of online surveys, followed by a community meet & greet. Damian will then record in depth interviews with key figures in the hall’s story, culminating in a live show bringing it all together. Later, Damian release a podcast episode encapsulating the story of the Williamstown Town Hall.
As well as the in-depth interviews, Damian is looking for short stories from people who have, or have had, a connection to the hall now or in the past. Maybe Willy Town Hall is where you made your ‘Deb' or where you played a solo in the ukulele orchestra. Perhaps your granddad called the old time dances back in the day or you have a relative featured in the Roll of Honour. Damian is keen to record to 2-3 minutes stories for research and to be potentially be used in the podcast.
