About this event

  • Event lasts 5 hours 30 minutes

Could forgiveness work be the key to unlocking the next layer on your healing journey?

Forgiveness work is a crucial step in supporting the healing process. Firstly, we know that a trauma is a stored memory telling us we’re unsafe. We have a web of these memories constantly firing in an attempt to protect us. Unresolved traumas, have us become guarded and closed off to love and life.

True forgiveness signals we’ve moved past this trauma...

True forgiveness means the person who hurt us, no longer activates us…

The problem is that most people haven’t reached this point…

Most people prematurely forgive and cause more harm than good.

Think about a scared child being encouraged to say sorry to the person who hurt them. They won’t feel more safe, they will feel LESS SAFE! Forgiveness can liberate us into deep trust of ourselves and of life. But it has to be navigated thoroughly and it has to be guided gently. This is why we’ll be journeying for several hours through a uniquely curated process of healing:

What to expect:

• Advanced education

• Interactive, connection-based, healing activities

• Emotional and somatic processing activities

• Guided healing processes

• Heart-opening cacao ceremony

• Sound healing

If you are feeling aligned to deepen your healing journey, grab a ticket and your facilitators will be honoured to support you to embrace forgiveness and crack open your precious heart that little bit more!

About the HEAL Event Series:

HEAL is a monthly experience, where we deep dive into different themes and give you tools to navigate your healing journey.

This journey may be for you if:

• You’ve been on this healing journey for a while now

• You are fully committed to deeply alchemising your trauma

• You’ve tried a bunch of different modalities to support yourself to grow (breathwork, therapy, somatics, meditation, maybe even plant medicine)

But, there’s STILL resistance between you and the life and love you desire.

Trauma involves such a complex web of wounding that is completely unique to our own backgrounds and stories. The intention in creating this event series is to teach the more specific and detailed aspects of the healing journey. Thoroughly exploring topics like; the father-wound, money trauma, shame, co-dependent patterns etc.

Complementary to each month’s unique learning deep dive, a safe, nourishing and transformational space for integrated healing will be created.

About you facilitators

Ryan Magic - @theryanmagic

Ryan is an international speaker that specialises on the topics of courage, purpose and fulfilment. Through difficult childhood circumstances, Ryan grew up extremely shy and battled severe anxiety and depression in his teens. After discovering PD at age 16, he learnt to leverage courage to build a multi-million dollar business in his early 20's. After growing too fast from a place of deep insecurity, Ryan experienced a huge business breakdown that involved large employee-theft and business debt. After rapidly turning the business around, Ryan chose to abruptly shut the business down to go on a deep spiritual journey.

After 5 years of deep healing, meditation and therapy, Ryan became a meditation teacher, breathwork facilitator and founded several healing modalities of his own. Ryan now lives his life dedicated to supporting people to unlock their purpose, power and fulfilment using his proprietary methodology called; 'The COR Method'. The COR Method is a unique way of integrating the spiritual, emotional and practical aspects of the growth industry to support people to live their best life.

Shahna Sarpi - @shahnasarpi

Shahna is an Alchemist, passionate about helping you transform your mess into your magic, pain into power and wounds into wisdom. With a special interest in somatics, nervous system regulation and mindset, Shahna combines extensive knowledge and experience in the healing, personal development and health space to help you become your most empowered self.

Shanah and Ryan's individual backgrounds have seen them explore a wide range of different modalities and they will be utilising the full range of their experiences in each month’s agenda. They will be curating a specific flow of activities to take you as deeply as possible, always blending the logical, emotional, energetic, somatic, connective and spiritual layers of healing.

Things to note:

Centre of You has plenty of bolsters, blankets, and cushions for you to get cosy with. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothes to enable deep breathing and sitting/laying upon the floor with ease. Something to cover your eyes, if you wish to do so (eg. eye mask, scarf). A journal is recommended as are any familiar personal items that will aid you in feeling grounded (crystal, teddy, scarf, etc).

Personal responsibility: Please make an assessment on whether you are feeling stable and resourced enough to explore the practices on offer in this event.

Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 7:45am - 8:00am. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 8:15am. Truly, it breaks our heart to have to turn latecomers away yet the disruption to the whole group experience by virtue of lateness does require management. We ask that you find understanding and consideration for the timebound nature of the container and make every effort to arrive on time.

Driving: Centre of You is located upon Chapel Street and while you may get lucky with an untimed spot, (try High Street) predominantly 1 and 2 hour parking is available (unmetered from 5pm). So you can fully settle into the practice, we suggest you avoid the need to move your car or risk a fine and park at the CARe multilevel carpark (8-14 King Street Prahran), a 140-metre walk from COY. 4+ hours (max daily) parking will be charged at $16.00.

Public transport - tram: Both the number 6 tram & 78 tram stop on the corner of High St/Chapel St. This is stop 31 on the number 6 tram (Moreland/Glen Iris) & stop 45 on the number 78 tram (North Richmond/Balaclava).

Public transport - train: Both Prahran & Windsor stations along the Sandringham Line will get you walking distance to Centre of You.

Finding Centre of You: Centre of You is nestled within the arcade that Chapel St Bazaar is in (217 Chapel St). It is up a flight of stairs with a wide landing at the half-way-point. Unfortunately, this current version of Centre of You does not have a wheelchair accessible lift. If you could use support in getting up the stairs or would like to discuss ways to make your experience at Centre of You more comfortable, please reach out via grace@centreofyou.com.au or via DM over on Centre of You Instagram.

Accessibility: At COY we aim to ensure our community and events are inclusive and accessible while alongside upholding the needs and responsibilities of our business and the businesses of our collaborating facilitators. Should you be in a time of financial challenge and unable to pay the full ticket price comfortably, please reach out via grace@centreofyou.com.au or via DM over on Centre of You Instagram
