About our Honours program

Honours in Indigenous Studies allows you to complete an independent research project and develop a wide range of skills to improve your career prospects. It's also a pathway into a Higher Degree Research degree like a PhD.

Your Honours year will include coursework in the first and second terms, and a research thesis of 15,000 to 20,000 words. It’s a stand-alone program that can be completed in one year of full-time study or part-time.

Frequently asked questions

Who can enrol in the Honours program?

You may be eligible to enrol to Honours in Indigenous Studies if you have completed a Major or a Minor in Indigenous Studies or a related discipline as part of your Bachelor degree, with a WAM of 70 or above.

Is this event held in-person or online?

You can join us in-person in the Nura Gili Boardroom or online. If you’ve indicated that you’re joining us online, we’ll send you the link to the livestream on Wednesday 18 September.
