Join experienced business advisor Stephen Hansen, from Rural Business Tasmania, who delivers the Tasmanian Government's New Business Support Pilot Program. Stephen will guide you through what is involved in starting a business.

· How to work out if there is demand for your product or service

· Other laws and regulations (e.g. Australian consumer law, privacy, fair trading, WHS, employment)

Stephen will share how people thinking about starting a business and those in their first year of business can receive up to two hours of free advice under the New Business Support Pilot Program.
Kelly Brown, the Manager of the Business Tasmania service, will share how Business Tasmania help people to start, run and grow their business by offering personalised assistance, information and access to a range of services and programs from the Department of State Growth and other government agencies. The Business Tasmania team make it easier for the community to talk to government and access available support.
