A session for all Community Housing Providers in Queensland Actively Growing

Community Housing Futures commenced in January 2023 with a 2-year funding commitment from the Queensland government. On Monday 30 September, the Queensland Government announced continued support for the Community Housing Futures program, including an additional $4M boost as part of their Homes for Queenslanders plan.

We'd like to consult with Community Housing Organisations to investigate future priorities for the Program. This event has bee rescheduled from the postponed August events.

The CHF Team will support this process by:

• Developing a discussion paper collating any ideas for capacity-building support that have been identified so far through the Program

• Convening one face-to-face workshop and two online workshops to discuss options and seek your views on priorities.

This session will run online from 1.00pm-2.30pm. The Zoom link will be emailed to you prior to the session.

Dates for the workshops are below. Please note we are convening one face-to-face workshop and two online workshops following the same agenda. You only need to attend one session.

1. Online - Monday 18th November from 12.30pm-2.00pm

2. Face-to-face - Monday 25 November from 1.00pm-2.30pm with lunch. (Event location to be confirmed subject to finalisation of attendee numbers.)

3. CHPs engaged in growth activities – Wednesday 27th November online from 1.00pm-2.30pm (this event).

If you can’t make these times, you are welcome to send comments by email or request a phone consultation with one of the peaks or members of the CHF team.

The Community Housing Futures Program (CHFP) was established to enhance the capability and capacity of Community Housing Organisations (CHOs) to increase social and affordable housing supply in QLD. The Program supports CHOs to access growth related training, education and tools, and facilitates grants for specialist business advisory services. You can find more information about the program on the website by clicking here.

We look forward to your input into how the next iteration of CHF can most benefit the sector. Thank you for making the time to participate and for how you have helped to shape the program so far.

If you are experiencing any barriers for registration please email communityhousingfutures@qshelter.asn
