The Adelaide PHN invites you to attend the “Introduction to Immunisation” Workshop

The workshop is tailored to nurses and other healthcare professionals new to immunisation program delivery.

Presented by: Angela Newbound, APHN Immunisation Coordinator

Angela is a Registered Nurse who has specialised in the field of immunisation for the past 23 years. She delivers immunisation support and education to a wide range of health providers across South Australia and contributes to the development of immunisation resources to assist providers with challenging aspects of the immunisation program.

Unit 1- Why Immunise?

Unit 2 –Basic Immunology and Terminology

Unit 3 –The Immunisation Program and Vaccine Types

Unit 4 –Influenza Program

Unit 5 –Legislation

Unit 6 –The importance of good communication and addressing vaccine objectors

Unit 7 –Vaccine Management and the Cold Chain

Unit 8 –Vaccine Administration Procedure and Adverse Events

Full day catering provided

The workshop will accrue 7 CPD hours
