ITALIAN LUNCH Cooking class

Ready to immerse yourself in the flavors of Italy? Join us for a hands-on cooking class where you'll learn how to create a delicious Italian lunch from scratch, you'll master the art of Italian cuisine in no time!

Come hungry and ready to learn - this event is perfect for foodies and cooking enthusiasts alike. Don't miss out on this opportunity to taste the flavors of Italy right here in Australia!

Italian Lunch is going to be really fun and you'll master:

Antipasto (entrée)

You are going to prepare the traditional fresh tomato and basil bruschetta and a gourmet variation of it.

Primo (main)

You’ll learn to prepare traditional Orecchiette and Maccheroni al ferretto pasta, then we’ll show you how to create the traditional Amatriciana sauce.

Dolce (dessert)

You’ll prepare a recipe from Piedmont region: Piedmontese peaches – oven baked with chocolate and amaretti biscuits.

Then we’ll cook the pasta that Anna and Sara have prepared, and we’ll feast on the bruschetta, the pasta and dessert we have prepared.

A glass of Italian wine will be offered to you as Italians do with their friends when they eat together.

At the end of the class, you will take home the orecchiette and maccheroni al ferretto and the dessert you made to share with your family, friends and loved ones, and you’ll get the recipe book for the class you attended.

Cooking is a matter of ability, passion and love, if you enjoy what you do, your dish turns in to something beautiful and tasty, cooking with other people makes this even better and more enjoyable and fun.

All our recipes are hands on, you’ll be working at your private bench space with a maximum of 14 participants to ensure that every one of you will be well looked after and to maximise your learning and help you to master the necessary skills.

- Bruschetta - traditional and gourmet version

- Hand made Orecchiette and Maccheroni al ferretto pasta

- Amatriciana sauce

- Piedmontese Peaches

Class ingredients

Bread, tomatoes, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, basil, Gorgonzola chesse, pears, walnuts, honey, Fine semolina flour, plain flour, onion, crushed tomato, Guanciale, onion, sugar, salt, Parmesan, Cocoa, Peaches, Amaretti biscuits, Marie biscuits, Chocolate, butter.

What you need to know

Ingredients, apron, tools, and everything you need is provided by us.

Course is suitable for any skill level.

Age requirement: 15+

Please come 10-15 minutes before the start time of the class.

Please wear closed in comfortable shoes.

Frequently asked questions

Refund.

A full refund is available if you cancel up to 30 days before the booked class (or reschedule). NO RUFUND is available for cancellations made within 7 days of the class, however, we can offer you to book another class at a special rate of $40 or you may send someone else in your place.

Reschedule.

We understand that life could be tricky sometimes, so we offer to reschedule your class,but you need to give us at least 7 days notice prior to the class and you can reschedule up to two times.If you are suddenly unwell,or you cannot attend the class,we are happy if you send someone in your place.

Dietary requirement.

We will happily try to accommodate all dietary requirements where possible,please provide details of any dietary requirements(allergies,intolerances,vegetarian).Please write us: originsitaliancookingclasses@gmail.com. Without notice we are not able to adjust our menus to accomodate your needs.

When you turn into Menora Rd from Wuraga Rd head down approx 300m and on the left side you will see the "Brookhaven Sales Centre"(33 Menora Rd)car park.Park on the right hand side as you enter the car park,cross the foot bridge/or the stone path into Bronzewing Cct. You will find us at number 55.

To be honest, summarizing Italian cuisine in just a few classes is quite challenging; we could easily offer more than a hundred classes and still not cover half of what Italy's culinary tradition encompasses. Nevertheless, we've carefully crafted 12 distinct classes to showcase some of the most famous dishes and unique culinary experiences Italy has to offer.

Our classes range from mastering the art of pasta across two parts, indulging in the ritual of Aperitivo Italiano, exploring the intricacies of Dolci-desserts, to crafting comforting dishes like Gnocchi and Lasagna. We also offer classes focused on Italian Lunch, Tuscan Dinner, the art of Pane-grissini-Taralli (Bread-breadstick-Taralli), and the secrets of Pizza and Focaccia. Additionally, we have a class dedicated to mastering quick and delicious Sughi Express.
