You have a problem.
It's not your fault.
No, you're not a bad dancer either - you just don't know what you're doing...yet!
Most studios don't teach real dance technique; if they do, it can be overwhelming or boring to learn when you just want to dance.
I mean let's be fair Ballroom dancing comes from stuffy ol' England where fancy complex words and cucumber sandwiches reign supreme but I digress.
Learning to dance should be fun, and easy, and you actually develop proper skills so you feel confident, look great, and even stun yourself with how good you can move to music as you give those finger guns a good wave.
But if you don't get the right mix of dance routine [adjusted for your level], technique like footwork, and how to count to music doing steps on their own will absolutely put a lid on your progress and leave you way more frustrated and end up giving up.
I have seen it happen hundreds of times over the last 13 years of teaching.
The saddest thing in a cemetery is not the body in the ground but the death of all the unfulfilled dreams, don't give up on something you could be good at!

What do you learn over the year?
You'll perfect the steps, basic technique, counts, and timing in ONE routine for:
- 3 Ballroom Dances
- 3 Latin Dances
- 3 New Vogue Dances
Taught using our secret-sauce methodology that guarantees you to look better than Dirty Dancing...well, at least Blades of Glory (let's keep the expectations low to start).
Medal Day in November is optional, but we strongly encourage all to participate. Don't worry—we will get you there, and you'll feel great about your accomplishment.

THIS CLASS IS PERFECT FOR:
- Anyone new to Ballroom, Latin, or New Vogue dancing who wants to take on a new regular hobby...could this be you?
- Any dance nerd driven to perfect their footwork, timing, and dance skills.
- Mad dance enthusiasts who, even though a bit terrified of looking bad on the dance floor, are courageous enough to step out and give it a shot.
- If you've already been part of the Starter Class for 1-6 months this is the natural progression for you as well.
So even if you don't feel you're "ready" for such a class, it's low commitment to come and try it out.
Even if you are still very raw and new to Ballroom dancing you can benefit from the regular routines each week to allow you to focus on learning to dance properly.

No, you can start in this class with us but we do recommend you join the Starter Class at the same time to get the benefits of both.
BALLROOM: Waltz, Slow Rhythm and Quickstep. LATIN: Cha Cha, Samba, Jive. NEW VOGUE: Charmaine, Tangoette, Gypsy Tap. * Subject to change.
In the current climate and to protect our studio patrons we do not require our teachers to dance with students but it is at their discretion. We also do not require other students to dance with other students and we do not force those who came with partners to swap.
Somewhere between casual wear and after 5-attire is best. LADIES: Low or high-heeled enclosed shoes and non-restrictive clothing. We don’t recommend mini-shorts or pencil skirts or gym shoes are they restrict movement. MEN: Enclosed leather shoes
No, but we can offer you a FREE class if you pre-purchase an 8-Dance Card, you collect it on your first lesson and we stamp the first lessons out of it for you to use upfront. It saves you $35 over 8 classes and gives you 1 free, essentially you're paying for 7 classes but get access to 8 classes.
You simply re-register for each month you choose to attend.
Then you will need to register via Eventbrite Ticket Registering system. CHOOSE: PRE-PAID [8-DANCE CARD] Option. We will stamp your card for the full amount of classes for that month when you come in. You must bring your valid 8-dance card with you.
You have two main options: 1. Buy a new card now, collect it in the studio on the first class. 2. Register via PRE-PAID [8-Dance Card] option and then pay CASH for a new card or the difference between what you have on your card and the remaining classes for the month.
We honour commitment so by signing up you're committing to ALL classes above otherwise, you are taking the spot of someone else for that class. This class is perfect for those just starting out. If you have no previous dance experience and just want to learn a few simple steps for that next event or kick-start a new hobby - you will love this class. Ages range from the '20s, '30s, '40s, '50s and beyond.
Absolutely NOT. All individuals are welcomed and encouraged. If you have a partner we do not for you to swap and dance with others.
