About this event

Enjoy a wide range of Japan's most delicious alcohol in this comedy and tasting experience!

Join comedian and former Tokyo resident Dave Crisante as he takes you into his former life as a boozehound in pursuit of the perfect story while he was a foreign correspondent in Japan.

This show is a blend of stand-up comedy and Japanese alcohol-tasting. You'll sample sake, shouchu, umeshu, whisky, and yuzushu.**

You'll enjoy FIVE types of alcohol that you'd have in a traditional night out in Japan - including Japanese wine, sake and spirits.*

Do you have a trip to Japan ahead and you're curious about their wide range of alcoholic drinks? Should sake be drunk warm or chilled? And just what the hell is that orange powder that they drink to prevent hangovers? Well, you'll get answers to these questions and more in this comedy and tasting experience.

Dave will take you on a playful journey of what it's like to be a foreigner in Japan as he shares with you all the drinking tips that he picked up while living in Tokyo.

This show is perfect if you're interested in Japanese culture, are keen to visit Japan and want to know what alcohol to try, or want to enjoy some nonstop laughs. Bring your mates, dates, or even come solo and join in the fun!

You'll learn a lot about Japanese alcohol including:

  • Why there are seemingly thousands of sake on the menu every time you go to a Japanese restaurant.
  • How Japan's best alcohol might just come from a carton (yes it's Japan's version of goon).
  • And how they drink to excess at work parties while simultaneously avoiding weight gain and productivity loss (Japanese efficiency at it's best!).

**Trust us - all of this alcohol is extremely delicious!
