Japanese pickling & fermenting Nukazuke

Come join us at Malmsbury Town Hall for a hands-on workshop on the art of Nukazuke - a traditional Japanese pickling and fermenting technique. Learn how to create your own flavorful and probiotic-rich pickles using rice bran and a variety of vegetables. Discover the secrets of this ancient preservation method and take home your own Nukadoko to enjoy making Nukazuke for many many years. Yoko - the founder of Cooking with Koji will also show you how to make quick pickling called Asazuke. At the end of the class, we will have Japanese "Teishoku" lunch cooked by Yoko, rice, Miso soup and rainge of Nukazuke from Yoko's Nukadoko and Asazuke we make together in the class.
