About this event

  • Event lasts 1 day 2 hours

Within two days, master the fundamentals of healthy and easy Japanese cooking as you gain practical skills and knowledge. You'll also save $40 by combining the two, instead of trying them out separately.


You will follow traditional methods replicable at home, including essential Japanese seasonings, cooking techniques and a variety of yummy recipes, whilst learning how to maximise the health benefits of Japanese ingredients.

Some examples from our Ramen class menu:

  • Shoyu Ramen (soy sauce-based)
  • Miso ramen - using alive miso
  • Green leaf salad with carrot and miso dressing - using alive young white miso
  • Dairy-free Blancmange

Some examples from our Sushi class menu:

  • How to make sushi rice perfectly
  • Multiple sushi techniques: Thin roll, thick roll, inside out roll and Nigiri
  • Fillings including homemade tempura
  • Homemade miso soup

All classes served with Matcha green tea.

  • This class is suitable for vegans.
  • Reservations may be transferred to another available class if more than 30 days' notice is given.
  • If you cannot make it to your reserved class, you are welcome to send someone in your place.

Yoshiko Takeuchi is originally from Japan and has been teaching cooking for nearly 20 years both in Japan and Australia. She previously worked as a chef for over 10 years at various restaurants including world famous restaurant " TETSUYAS" and studied nutrition at a collage in Sydney,

She is an expert teacher of healthy vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free cooking as well as both traditional and modern Japanese cooking.

Her unique healthy cooking classes have been featured in several TV programs such as " The Biggeset loser", newspapers and magazines.
