JBA Coffee Connection - Staying in Touch AND Calvin's Plumbing & Gas

Our May JBA Coffee Connection is going to be an “Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea” fundraising event for Cancer Council WA – co-hosted by JBA members Staying in Touch AND Calvin’s Plumbing & Gas on Wednesday 7th May, 10:30am-12:00 midday at The Alcove Conservatory, Joondalup Resort.

Our hosts and long-term JBA Members, Brett & Liz Flatters and Calvin Flatters & Shayla Brown would personally like to invite you to join them for what is going to be another great JBA networking event PLUS an opportunity for you to support those impacted by cancer.

Barista Coffee will be available for you to purchase, or there will be a tea & juice station, and our hosts will provide light refreshments from the Resort for morning tea.

· This event is also going to be an “Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea” fundraising event for Cancer Council WA. You can donate if you wish, but there’s no obligation to do so.

· Our hosts are related family businesses, AND multi-generational family JBA members in two ways:

• Calvin’s Plumbing & Gas is celebrating their 10 Year Business Anniversary (March 2025) AND 10 Years as a JBA Member!
• Shayla Brown is the daughter of JBA Member, Sharon Brown from Soul Healing With Heart (who is also our JBA Business Development Manager).
• Owners, Brett & Liz Flatters (Staying in Touch) are the parents of Calvin Flatters, at Calvin’s Plumbing & Gas.

· Staying in Touch in celebrating their 30 Year Business Anniversary (July 2025) AND 30 Years as a JBA Member!

· Liz Flatters, a Vice President of the Joondalup Business Association, is also a cancer survivor – and is hosting this event in honour of the support she received from both the JBA community and the Cancer Council at that time, when her children were 7 and 9 years old.

· Since announcing this event, a number of members have come forward offering to donate prizes to support our fundraising efforts – so there will be a small Silent Auction on the morning too!

Fundraising:

• You do not necessarily have to attend to donate.

• You do not have to feel obliged to donate if you attend.

· You are welcome to donate to this worthy cause if you would like:

· You can donate even if you don’t attend.

Who can attend:

· If you’re a JBA member you are welcome to bring team members or immediate family along with you, to attend free as part of your membership.

· If you would like to invite a guest from another business or organisation, they can attend FREE if it’s their first JBA event.

· If you are a returning guest (non-member) you can attend this JBA event for a small fee ($15 + cc charges).
