Environment Centre staff will guide children aged 9 years and up through some fun and simple exercises to learn the basics and discover the joys of connecting with nature through nature journalling.
Nature journalling is the practice of recording your interactions with nature on paper. You can use sketches, paintings, poetry, species lists, numbers, graphs, cartoons and more. It's a fun, easy, relaxing practice and encourages mindfulness, hones observation skills, and cultivates a sense of wonder.
Please bring your own basic sketch/art book so you can keep your creations in one place; other materials provided.
After the workshop, visit the Environment Centre or remain in the reserve to continue nature journalling.
