Join Karate World Champion Sensei Chloe Pillay (3rd Dan SKIF/WKF , CPTKI) for an informative and fun introduction to karate and self-defense basics. We will begin the session with karate stances, punches and blocks . These skills form the basis of the self-defense tools we will cover. Further techniques, such as using your voice as a tool for self-defense and simple, effective techniques to protect yourself against armed attackers will also be covered. We end the program with a recap and consolidation of all the new skills learnt.

In addition to learning how to defend yourself, Karate teaches students of all ages to build confidence, improve self-control, build strength, boost focus, improve street awareness, teaches respect, goal setting, perseverance, builds discipline, and improves balance, posture and coordination.

This event is for ages 13-17.
