Lake Mac Urban Sketch

A series of INCLUSIVE community urban sketching workshops culminating in a small exhibition made in Lake Macquarie, of Lake Macquarie, by local sketchers.

No matter your skill level, whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, these sessions are perfect for you! Each week, our experienced tutor will guide you through specific techniques to create tone and texture with pen, suggestive mark making, and watercolour painting.

Urban sketching is a global art movement that captures the world through on-location drawing. It can happen anywhere—cities, small towns, shopping centres. With quick, spontaneous lines and rough colouring, urban sketching serves as a visual diary of people, places, and moments, encouraging mindfulness and slowing down.

Be a tourist in your own city, and enjoy the benefits of fresh air and relaxation.

• Please note - Museum of Art and Culture yapang will be the initial meeting place for these workshops
• This is a 6 week workshop series, running on every Tuesday from the 29th of April to the 3rd of June

GENERAL: $60 for 6 weeks - BYO materials (list available)
