About this event

The Lake Perkolilli Red Dust Revival 2025 celebrates the golden years of outback motor racing history between 1914 to 1939. It is all about riders and drivers in old cars and bikes trying to recreate the spirit of the past when motor sport was fun. The event runs from 29 September to 5 October 2025. Entry fees apply. All proceeds from camping and spectator entry fees go to Variety WA, the children’s charity. Lake Perkolilli is a natural claypan about a 45 minute drive from Kalgoorlie in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. The last part of the drive is on a dirt road and then a bush track. The track is OK for 2WD vehicles.

For more than 100 years, competitors and their friends have been camping at Lake Perkolilli. At past Perko events, the campers have enjoyed life under the stars, got on with each other and developed great camaraderie. We hope the Red Dust Revival campers continue this fine tradition.

Lake Perkolilli is a nature reserve and the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder has given us permission to use the area. Please respect the site and do not damage any of the vegetation to make your campsite.

· The management of Red Dust Revival advises that dog baits have been found in the Lake Perkolilli area, so it is at your own risk to bring your dogs.

Clay Pan Track

· The clay pan is a delicate surface for these old vintage cars to compete on, so we need to respect it and stay off it for the event.
