MSF will be following on from workshops conducted in February where we will be heading out to the paddock to inspect participant's focus paddocks and observe trial strip variables over different soil zones.
While observing trial strips in the paddock with Sean Mason, from Agronomy Solutions we will discuss crop nutrition requirements and more.
The session:
- Visiting local farmers' trial strips - to see if any effects from variable rates applied
- Observe how paddock strips can be used to help with nutrient input decision making in different soil zones
- View crop responses to different fertiliser treatments based on pre-season soil testing.
- Discuss soil test results and how to make variable rate decisions
- Talking crop nutrition with Sean Mason
- Lastly we will view the Lime, ripping, and manure trial conducted by SARDI with Sean Mason talking results seen (long-term trial).
- Also view the NVT on pulse crops.
