About this event

This workshop is an opportunity for Grad Groups committee members, preferably President or Secratery to learn more about legal structure of their organisation.

The following topics will be discussed"

- Legal roles of committee/board members as decision makers

- Differences between governance and management

- Legal structure and status of your organisation

- Importance of rules/constitution and legal purpose or objects

- Four key legal duties of committee/board members

- Potential liabilities, protecting yourself and your organisation

- Other relevant laws

- Top tips and additional resources to help in the future

Only one committee member, preferably the president or secretary, from each group can join the workshop.

This session will be delivered online via the Zoom platform and the Zoom link will be sent to you 2 days before the session.
