Are you a City of Kwinana resident and love where you live? Are you interested in beautifying your street, increasing the level of biodiversity for our native flora and fauna, and creating a safer, more connected community?


Love Where You Live’ invites you to improve your front gardens and verges to vibrant gardens featuring native plants. By participating in one of these workshops, you'll be eligible for a subsidy of up to $200.


To be eligible for the subsidy you'll need to:

  1. Sign up to 'Love My Kwinana' (if you don't already have an account);
  2. Register for and attend on of the Garden Subsidy Workshops, where you'll learn how to successfully transform your garden;
  3. Submit your design for approval (after the worskhop);
  4. Improve your front verge or garden!; and
  5. Apply for the subsidy


A bit about Robyn Brown, our facilitator;

Robyn's gardening experience has come from a lifetime of following Permaculture Principles to set up her 5 acre property in the 1980s and to grow organic food for her family of 2 children who are now adults and flown the nest. Animals and humans enjoy a sprawling relaxed environment at this property!

The City's Community Safety Officer will also be in attendance to answer any community safety questions or concerns and provide resources on how to connect with your neighbours.

To note:

  • This is a Child Friendly workshop
  • 1 x ticket per household
  • Feel free to have another person from the same household come along too!
  • Please bring a minimum of 2 photos of your front garden with you (printed or digital)
  • Workshop is located at the Ngook Boorn Mia Mia/Honeywood Pavilion
  • Parking available please follow directions on map below:
