Low-Light Street Photography with Seiya Taguchi
Step into the night and see the city in a whole new light. Join professional photographer Seiya Taguchi for an immersive low-light street photography workshop through the vibrant streets of Haymarket and Chinatown, Sydney.
Learn how to harness the mood and mystery of ambient light, experiment with creative blur, and take full control of your camera settings to produce striking night-time imagery. This hands-on class is designed to sharpen both your technical skills and creative eye. With expert guidance from Seiya, you’ll dive into a wide range of low-light techniques - using everything from available street lighting to small artificial sources. Explore the ins and outs of manual exposure, master autofocus in challenging conditions, and discover how to balance aperture, ISO, and shutter speed for beautifully exposed, expressive shots after dark.
Whether you're a beginner looking to gain confidence shooting in low-light or a more experienced photographer looking to expand your creative toolkit, this workshop will open your eyes to a whole new way of seeing the night.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to try out the new Nikon Z5II along with a selection of NIKKOR Z lenses ideal for night shooting. A Nikon representative will be on hand to assist with gear loans and technical support throughout the workshop.
