About this event

Adam first gained recognition for his work as a photojournalist on assignment for Time Magazine, The New York Times and National Geographic, capturing the U.S led war in Afghanistan. Since then, Adam’s career has taken him from documenting the plight of migrants in Mexico and female suicide bombers in Nigeria to the protests in Hong Kong and into the heart of Australia’s interior, with many worlds (and warzones) in between.

Says Sarah McGregor, Director of MADC Presents “Adam’s work has transplanted him to some of the world’s most dangerous and inhospitable places, always in search of humankind’s most important, unique and untold stories. We can look forward to a night of these stories, and the stories behind them.”

With numerous awards and photographer of the year awards to his name, Ferguson’s work has been exhibited at the National Gallery of Victoria, the Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, The Ullens Centre for Contemporary Art in Beijing, and the Cortana on the Move International Photography Festival in Italy.
