About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

What is the meaning of life? People have asked that question for thousands of years. Recently, psychologists have started investigating how we create meaning in our lives and how we can help others live a more meaningful existence.

This thought provoking topic has tickets to attend either in person (on-campus) or online (webinar), with Andrew discussing -

· The meaning of life versus meaning in life

· The three facets of meaning in life: purpose, coherence, and significance

· Viktor Frankl and finding meaning in the darkest places

· Common sources of meaning in life

· Ways to help others find meaning in their life

Please note: Professional Development certificates will only be issued to attendees with an 80% attendance; this is to uphold the integrity of the event and presenter.

Speaker:

Andrew is an associate lecturer in Psychology at ACAP and completing his PhD at the Centre for Wellbeing Science at the University of Melbourne. His PhD focuses on developing an intervention called life crafting to help young adults live a more meaningful life and satisfy their basic psychological needs. Andrew is interested in ways to help people live more self-determined
