About this event

Mastering the Art of Soft Skills: Stand Out and Succeed

hyp is launching into 2025 by helping YOU upskill your soft skills in networking, public speaking, personal branding and more!

Everybody wants to be the most employable person in the room, but what if you don't feel confident in your ability to sell your skills, your business or your personal brand?

We've all been there, and so we want to help you launch into 2025 feeling confident in your ability to network and stand out in a crowd.

This event will feature a panel of guest speakers, who will likely be familiar faces around Newcastle, who have the knowledge and expertise on how to master networking and stand out in a crowd.

Our panel will include:

  • Abbey Naylor from Bold Mood
  • Josh Lawlor from Personal Branding Unlocked and Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation
  • Tommy Casha from Wedding Chats
  • Michelle Trimble from Poppy Seed Media

So, if you've ever wanted to know what the secret is to your personal sales pitch, marketing yourself and your business or simply having the confidence to speak to someone new, this is your perfect opportunity to find out!

As part of the event, we'll also be sharing our Theme of the Year which will help guide our events and goals for 2025 (HINT: This event focus is very closely tied to it...)

We will also be re-introducing you to our charity partner for 2025, Talk2mebro. (Please note, Talk2mebro discusses topics which may be triggering, including suicide).

Talk2mebro was developed to help reduce the number of males who die to suicide in Australia. Through early intervention, their aim is to create societal change by reducing the stigma around suicide and getting men to feel comfortable talking about what they are going through emotionally and mentally.

Their mission is to educate, support and empower those in our lives to speak up when they need help. We look forward to having a representative from Talk2mebro come along to speak on the night.

Both members and non-members are welcome to join us for a drink, a meal and an evening of celebration. So come along by yourself, or drag some colleagues along with you - the more the merrier!
