Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, this class is perfect for you. No experience necessary!

Join visiting Artist in Residence Mark Dober and discover the delight of en plein air during this special Sunday Session

Create two brush and ink drawings. These will be A3 size (30 x 42 cm).
Create, learn, and enjoy the serene setting as you bring your artistic visions to life.


BYO folding camp chair / blanket or towel to sit on.

Materials Supplied: paper, clips, boards, brushes, ink (BYO if you prefer)

About the teacher:

Mark Dober is an Australian artist based in the central Victorian town of Castlemaine. His practice revolves around creating artworks that capture the essence of the surrounding landscape. Working primarily en plein air, Mark’s approach is direct and immediate, translating personal experiences of the natural world into his art.

Mark's most recent exhibitions include The Edge of Town at Castlemaine Art Museum in 2022, On the Land at Swan Hill Regional Gallery in 2022 - 2023, and Murrumbidgee at Wagga Wagga Art Gallery in 2021.

About the Venue

The Museum of Art and Culture (MAC yapang) is located at the end of First Street, Booragul, on the edge of Lake Macquarie. MAC has ramp access for wheelchairs and prams, baby changing facilities and accessible toilets. There is parking for cars, and buses with accessible spaces available onsite.
