Acclaimed author James Lergessner is thrilled to announce the release of his latest book, Snippets of a Baby Boomer’s Diary, a compelling collection of memories, reflections, and anecdotes capturing the essence of the Baby Boomer generation.

Between 1946 and 1964, virtually four million babies—‘baby boomers’—were born in Australia. As people breathed huge sighs of relief at their newfound freedom following the war years, they

wanted to give their children everything they perhaps missed out on—a much better life for their offspring: home, secure family, school, and a car for outings. The greatest wealth was no longer contentment with just a little.

Through a series of engaging and insightful snippets, Lergessner takes readers on a nostalgic journey, chronicling the defining moments, cultural shifts, and personal  experiences that shaped the lives of those born in this era. Snippets of a Baby Boomer’s Diary embarked as an attempt to try and recall most people’s deep connection with Brisbane—the place where numerous Australian baby boomers were born and had become domiciled. It trawls all through the conservative decades of the 1950s and the action-packed swinging 1960s; the political upheavals within the 1970s; and the ‘greed is good’ agendas of the 1980s and beyond. With humor, wisdom, and authenticity, he offers a heartfelt perspective on life, love, family, and the ever-changing world.

Snippets of a Baby Boomer’s Diary is more than just a memoir—it is a tribute to an era that transformed society in profound ways. Whether you are a Baby Boomer reminiscing about the past or a younger reader eager to understand the experiences of a remarkable generation, this book promises to entertain, enlighten, and inspire.
