About this event

Mental Health First Aid is a two day course that teaches adults how to assist other adults who are experiencing a mental health crisis or developing a mental health problem.

The course discusses mental health issues such as depression, anxiety disorders, psychosis, deliberate and substance use disorders as well as some of the potential crises that may arise including suicide ideation, panic attacks, severe psychotic states and intoxication.

Participants will benefit from improved knowledge of mental illness and their treatments, knowledge of appropriate first aid strategies and confidence in providing first aid to individuals with mental illness.

Please note that catering will not be provided and no ramp of elevator accessibililty.
