Psychologists and neuroscientists recognise that language significantly influences how we experience the world. The words we choose to describe ourselves, our goals, and our intentions can profoundly impact our ability to achieve them. How we speak—to ourselves and to others—truly matters.

Traditional cultures understood the power of language. Take the word "spell," for example, which originates from the Germanic term "spel", meaning talk, storytelling, gossip, or sermon. The stories we tell ourselves—about our past, present, and future—shape our self-perception and guide our choices. In this sense, these stories can even be seen as “conjuring” our future.

In this workshop, TeriLeigh uses her background as a teacher of creative writing and literary studies, combined with intensive Shamanistic training to share with you powerful insights on how to guide your life and goals with intentionality and in alignment with what you really want in your life.

As a formally qualified teacher, with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing & Literary Studies , I live at the intersection of Grounded Avenue and Woo-Woo Way.

Offering practical and scientific explanations for esoteric and metaphysical phenomena, I teaches deep spiritual wisdom in simple and practical terms.

I have a number of neurological conditions (aka super-powers that some might call “neurodivergent), which means she experiences the world through a very unique lens.

Hyperacusis - a hypersensitivity to hearing. I have the super-hearing ability. While sometimes it’s too much for me (like when you smack your food - misophonia), most of the time it helps me to be a really good listener cuz I hear more than just what you say, but how you said it and what lives in the space between your thoughts, and meaning exists inside the letters and words and tones you use.

Synesthesia - My senses of hearing, sight, and touch often work together as one sense. In other words, I often see sounds as colors and textures, and I can hear visions and images as sounds. Synesthesia is a neurological condition that affects 2-4 percent of the population. Lucky me - I won that lottery ticket. Words light up for me like a laser light show.

My hyperacusis and my synesthesia gives me the unique ability to see auras and chakras - An aura is a bubble of personal space. You know, that queasy feeling you get when someone comes too close? I see that as colors, textures, and vibrations coming off your body in the form of energy. (it’s really just the non-dense atoms and molecules spinning around, and my hyper-sensitive sights sees and feels them).


I’ve spent my lifetime analysing what I see and sense and hear and feel to understand it for deeper symbolic and scientific meanings. With a Master’s Degree in Teaching, over 30 years experience as a master yoga teacher, I also hold certifications and training in Reiki, Healing Touch, and have been initiated as an elder in a West African shamanic tribe. From 2008-2018 I traveled across the United States of America teaching yoga, wellness, and mindfulness workshops to over 200,000 students.
