About this event

On 19 September each year, we come together to commemorate the lives of miners lost in mining tragedies in Queensland.

This date marks the anniversary of the State's worst coal mining disaster at Mount Mulligan, where 75 miners lost their lives in 1921.

The Miners Memorial Day Service is a time to formally pause and honour the memory of all those who have lost their lives working in Queensland mines.

Please RSVP for catering purposes by Thursday, 12 September 2024.

Light refreshments will be served from 9:45 am.

Event vehicle parking is available at the Collinsville Showground across the road from Collinsville-Scottville Workers Club.
