About this event

Yin Yoga is a deeply therapeutic practice that combines practices from Vedic and Daoist traditions, with modern scientific understanding of the human body, mind and spirit.

Fascia (connective tissue such as ligaments, tendons, cartilage etc.) is strengthened and nourished by regulating energetic flow through the meridians (energy pathways).

Yin Yoga is restorative, meditative and non-depleting. As one of the original pioneers of Yin Yoga, Bernie Clark, says:

"We don't use the body to get into a pose. We use the pose to get into the body."

In Yin Yoga, the external shape of a pose is less important than how each practitioner experiences the pose. As we are all unique, Yin Yoga uses props to support each body in order maximise the benefits of each shape.

Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
