You're invited to attend this GP Education Road Show - Mental Health Series, “Mood and Mind Medley”, hosted by Australia's largest specialised mental health and rehabilitation network, Aurora Health. Topics and presenters will vary slightly at each dinner, allowing us to tailor to your local area's needs. Each dinner will feature four case-based discussions presented by a range of local leading and established Psychiatrists, as well as new and upcoming specialists.

LO1 Discuss the current landscape of ADHD and understand the higher rates of diagnosis in order to accurately distinguish the true indicators and when to escalate treatment and specialised the programs available.


Borderline Personality Disorder in Young Adults: What to do during a crisis

LO2 Discuss how to manage crises in young adults with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) by understanding the key principles of crisis intervention, recognising early warning signs, implementing de-escalation techniques, and providing appropriate support to ensure safety and stability during acute episodes.


Depression and Anxiety

LO3 Identify patients presenting with anxiety disorders, differentiating them from normal emotional responses, and recommend effective intervention strategies.


Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

LO4 Identify effective assessment and intervention strategies to implement in general practice for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and when a referral to a Psychiatrist may be beneficial.
