Mother's Day High Tea 2025 - The Cafe + The Gallery

Spoil your mum this Mother’s Day to a special outing and delicious High Tea at Rivers. We are serving in both The Cafe and The Gallery (location depends on your guest numbers). This experience includes delectable sweet and savoury finger foods served on three tiered stands with a pot of Yarra Valley tea or cup of Arthurs Creek barista made coffee. Bubbles, wines and other non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase on the day.

Pricing + Sitting Time

• Adult High Tea: $65 per person.

• Children's High Tea: $45 per person (12 years and under)

As Mother’s Day is one of our busiest days of the year and bookings are limited, we have 1.5 hour sitting times to ensure a smooth operation for you and your family. Please note, if you are running late this will reduce the time you have on your table.

Booking + Prepayment

Pre-payment is required to secure your booking. This is calculated on the size of your table i.e the amount of people that your table choice accommodates and not necessarily the number of guests you are booking and/or what type of tickets you are ordering, i.e. adults/children.

Please book the table size you require for the full number of guests attending (adults + children). You will be prompted during checkout to let us know the breakdown of adults + children within your group. Should your final bill on the day be less than this table payment (i.e. the difference in ticket cost for children’s High Tea), the difference will be refunded to you on the day. Should your final bill on the day be more than your table payment, (i.e. you have added drinks, sparkling etc.), an account will be presented for the balance owing.

Please note in the event of guests not attending on the day, no refunds will be made for adult or children’s High Tea bookings, but we will package the food into a hamper box separately to take home.

Children

Rivers is a proudly family-friendly venue, and we welcome children and babies. If your child is too young to sit in a seat, then you may use a highchair or bring one with you. Highchairs are available on a first come, first served basis. As space is limited, we would appreciate if you could leave prams at the entrance. However, if this is needed for your sleeping baby, then you are welcome to bring it in.

If you have children who do not require a chair within your booking (i.e. you require a highchair or space for a pram), please call us on 9436 3210(Monday to Sunday 9-3pm only) so that we can assist in finding the right table to suit your needs.

Special Dietary Needs

For special dietary needs, our chefs can accommodate our High Tea Menu to be altered for vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten-free and pregnant-friendly diets. Please note however that a combination of these is not available. Please include all dietary requirements when making your booking, changes can not be made on the day.

Alterations, Refunds & Cancellations:

If you have a reduction in your booked number of guests, please contact us ASAP so that we can adjust accordingly. If this alteration is made before the 1st May, no penalty will apply. If the reduction is made after 1st May, a cancellation cost of $50 per adult and $30 child will apply. We are happy to offer a takeaway hamper available for pickup on the day.

Full Cancellations can be made in writing to finance@riverosfyarrambat.com with full refunds given if made by the 1st May.

If the cancellation is made after 1st May this will result in a forfeit of your pre-payment. Alternatively, we are happy to offer a takeaway hamper available for pickup on the day.
